Dennis and Julia Donner

Dennis and Julia Donner have lived on the 48' Uniflite "Barometer Soup" since their marriage three years ago. Before that Dennis lived in on his 34' Tollycraft for 4 years. Dennis' father is retired from the Tollycraft Corporation. Dennis is a technician with US West where he has worked for 23 years and Julia is a buyer for The Bon Marche where she has worked for 21 years.

Life on the water is a passion for the Donners and the boat is their pride and joy. They love cruising the San Juan Islands and the Canadian Gulf Islands every summer. They cruised with the Battleship Missouri as it left Puget Sound for Hawaii. Lake Washington is the most frequent destination. Seafair is a tradition.

Dennis and Julia note how often visitors to their boat see this life as romantic and a little adventurous. "Only in Seattle"' say the out-of-towners. Many speak of their desire to try it themselves someday. The Donners are committed to protecting this right not only for themselves, but for others after them.
